Mbappe is self-admittedly a big fan of Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo and has said that he grew up idolising the player.
Monaco youth academy
Mbappe joined the Bondy youth academy at the age of six. His father Wilfried was one of the sporting directors of the local club and had served them for close to 25 years.
In 2010, at the age of 12, Mbappe headed to the Clairefontaine Academy where he spent three years, before joining Monaco.

The 2016-17 campaign proved to be a breakthrough season for Mbappe as he made a massive impact for Monaco.

Youngest Frenchman to win the World Cup
He was part of the French national team that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup, making him the youngest French player to ever play in the final of tournament and win it.

Mbappe enjoys a good relationship with NBA star LeBron James and has been pictured with LA Lakers man on more than one occasion.
